Not just a restaurant.
An experience.

Tucked away in the lush forests of Yanbaru — a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in northern Okinawa — Yanbaruya offers something you won't find anywhere else: the chance to experience Okinawa's natural environment and culinary tradition together, in one extraordinary setting.

Our signature Agu pork (アグー豚) is sourced exclusively from certified farms in Okinawa Prefecture. Agu is a rare Okinawan breed descended from pigs brought to the Ryukyu Kingdom centuries ago. Its fat melts at a lower temperature than ordinary pork, giving it an incomparably sweet, rich flavor that must be tasted to be believed.

We strictly limit the quantity we source each day, placing freshness and quality above all else. As a result, only a limited number of servings are available each day. Reservations by phone or Instagram direct message are strongly recommended.

Our Signature Dishes

A closer look at two of our most-loved Agu pork tonkatsu sets.

Most Popular

Agu Pork Loin Cutlet Set
パイとんロースかつ定食

¥3,500 (tax incl.)

The rarest grade of Agu pork — known as "Paiton" — raised on a diet of local Higashi-village pineapple and EM-activated water. The result is ultra-fine marbling that melts on the tongue, with a natural sweetness from the pineapple layered over Agu's signature umami. Served with rice, miso soup, Yanbaru vegetable side dish, and pickles.

Delicate & Pure

Agu Pork Tenderloin Cutlet Set
パイとんアグーヒレかつ定食

¥3,500 (tax incl.)

The prized tenderloin of Agu pork, with minimal fat and maximum tenderness. Slow-fried at low temperature to preserve its silky texture and pure, clean flavor. The purest expression of what Agu pork can be. Served with rice, miso soup, vegetable side dish, and pickles.

Free refills on rice and miso soup (one time). Rice and miso made with Okinawan local ingredients.
